The Global Ecological Integrity Project has been meeting since 1992, the first meeting coinciding with the Great Lake Water Quality Meeting in the Windsor area. The 25th anniversary meeting returned to the University of Windsor, Ontario and the latest tok place in late June 2019 at the University of Trieste, Italy. All convened various scholars scientists but law scholars for the most part, intent on advancing and spreading not only the study of ecological and biological integrity, but also its presence in important international venues including the United Nations Headquarters.
